City of Eureka Residential Recycling and Collection Service

We provide the city of Eureka residents with garbage cans. The cans are available in the following sizes:

Curbside Recycling

City Garbage Company of Eureka provides residents of the City of Eureka with curbside recycling. Please separate your recycling into the two bins provided by City Garbage Company of Eureka. The color of the bins does not matter as long as the material is separated correctly. One bin should contain recyclable metal, plastic and glass items. The other bin should contain recyclable paper items. For detailed information about what to put into your recycling bins, please refer to the following guidelines.

Recycling Crates RECYCLING GUIDELINES
Place the following items in one of your recycling bins:
  1. Sort materials into two mixed categories: Fiber and Containers
  2. Place materials in recycling crates
  3. Leave Crates by your garbage can on your regular pick up day

Do Not Include:
Paper towels, napkins or tissues, paper plates or cups, photographs, waxed paper, padded envelopes, waxed milk cartons, juice boxes, egg cartons, food contaminated cardboard (pizza boxes), "wet strength" cardboard (to hold soda & beer cans), or bright colored or neon paper.

*Large cardboard boxes that will not fit into the crate may be broken down (no larger than 3 feet by 4 feet) and left next to crates.

Pre-Paid Bag Service

If your household produces a limited amount of trash, and thus requires only occasional garbage pick-up, you'll want to know about the Pre-Paid Trash Bag Program from City Garbage Company of Eureka.

Senior Service Program

City Garbage Company of Eureka understands that the rising cost of garbage service may create a financial hardship for seniors who rely on a fixed income. In addition, we also recognize that many seniors do not produce a large volume of trash.

In an attempt to address both of these situations, City Garbage Company of Eureka has created a special Senior Service Program for City of Eureka residents over the age of sixty-five.
